He’s on the subway. Tucked himself into a corner as always, but the people surrounding him keep their distance anyway. He doesn’t mind. He needs space. His own pulse is loud in his ears but it pushes back against the low roar of the everything around, the voices, the shifting clothes, the squeaking shoes. It’s so quiet in the apartment he forgets the way life sounds, sometimes.

As familiar as he was with them, the jungles of Costa Rica were still getting Snake on edge. It wasn't quite the feeling of being observed – that had subsided after the first few months, once he'd asserted himself as the most dangerous thing trekking those paths. Maybe it was just the unknown, but then again he'd rarely felt that, even in Tselinoyarsk. It wasn't even the eventual enemy presence, especially with how far he was going.
Snake happens to stumble upon an interesting creature while in the jungle.

No, it's best they keep that a secret.

She frowned as her hands went down on the scar left by Daisy.
"Really, We Are Both Very Lucky That Pesky Hunter Didn't Deprive You Of It. An Archivist Without A Voice Is Pretty Much Useless."
She smiled, revealing the mouth painted on the plastic underneath the skin of Joey the Clown.
"Do You Think I Could Be The Archivist? With Both Your Voice And Your Skin... Oh, That Would Be My Most Spectacular Role. And Just In Time For My Most Spectacular Performance! The Greatest Representation That Would Have Ever Been!"
